Collect Pond Park is a city park in lower Manhattan’s Chinatown. The park is built over what was once the main water supply for the European Settlement, Manhattan, for two centuries. After the pond was condemned and drained, the area was home to a jail for a period of time before being turned over to the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation to be converted into the greenspace it is today. The area was closed for reconstruction for two years and reopened in May of 2014.
Delta Fountains engineered and supplied equipment for an interactive fountain near the park’s reflecting pool, which is also a Delta project. The nozzles, lights and hidden vault hatch are all laid flush with the colored concrete. The water is activated by a custom, stainless steel bollard
