The Barnes Museum in downtown Philadelphia, home of the art collection of Albert C. Barnes, is now home to two water features. The first, a long reflecting pool, is surrounded by trees and acres of garden. It outlines the museum to reflect both the building and many of the colorful trees within the garden. The second feature lies within the museum’s park gardens. The feature is a raised linear pool that pours water over the sides via a weir. This feature is part of a long strip of sitting area for the park visitors.
Filtration issues required Delta Fountains to supply a horizontal sand filter with a manual linkage backwash system that operates dual tank sand filters. Delta Fountains also supplied other custom solutions: an ozone chemical-feed system, ultrasonic water level controls mounted on clear standpipe, variable frequency drive (VFD) operated feature pumps, vacuum switch/gauge panel assemblies, and custom stainless steel troughs and cover plates.
