New York City, NY
32 Old Slip, also known as One Financial Square, is a combination weir and geyser fountain in New York City. The site originally held the United States Assay Office, the last public gold refinery in the US. It was during this time that this site was used to melt damaged coins and incinerate damaged money. Today, this small public space is an oasis for busy pedestrians to take a break or rent a CitiBike.
Delta Fountains renovated the fountain at 32 Old Slip in 2013, after it was damaged by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. To restore the fountain, Delta had to replace several key electrical and mechanical components, including completely rebuilding the fountain control panel.
