The 3-Cup Anemometer is a traditional type, sensitive sensor for horizontal wind measurement. All 3-wCup Anemometers are constructed with lightweight and UV resistant plastic cups. These sensors are typically small and easy to mount on landscape lighting or nearby buildings, so as not to disrupt your fountain’s aesthetic.

These wind sensors are important especially for interactive water features, which need a way to detect high wind speeds that may interfere with their jumping water jet programs. When the sensor detects high wind speeds, it will send a message to the fountain system controls to turn off the fountain to prevent unruly sprays.
