Salem, MA
The Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts was founded in 1799 and houses extensive maritime, American, and Asian art collections acquired over the centuries since it first opened its doors.
Delta Fountains was honored to be a part of the most recent expansion of The Peabody Essex Museum with our work on its two water features, a water wall in the North American Garden and the Poetry Fountain. Through our partnership with Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects and Brightview Landscape Development, Delta Fountains supplied the fountain equipment necessary to make the museum’s unique vision a reality.
Utilizing multiple pump systems and custom stainless steel fabrication, The Poetry Fountain’s water originates from two source basins at either end of the fountain and flows through a serpentine channel and converges in a central basin.
The water wall flows over a 10-foot granite slab engraved with water and wind contours found at South Africa’s Cape of Good Hope.
