Water scrims create a thin sheet of water across a subtle slope typically inviting pedestrian traffic. Scrim features are a popular style of interactive water feature, the most famous being Delta Fountains’ The High Line in New York, NY. These stainless steel, linear trough with extended throat send pressurized water (which often seems like a calm flow to onlookers) across a horizontal surface, to be collected through a drain grate. Water from these featured can be calm or textured depending on the material used as the floor level. Also common in scrim water features is to disturb the water near the center of the feature with jets or seating.
